Daniel Winder : Theatre

Iris Theatre	For Iris Theatre 2011 projects included; Workin Process 1 - A New Musical Theatre Showcase - March 17th, Circuit - a new circus show in May, an open air version of A Midsummer Night's Dream for the whole of July and a touring version of Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss in Aug produced with the Orchestra of St Pauls.


First Draft	In March 2011 Daniel directed 5 short plays for First Draft Theatre for the March Readings of their April Showers. These scratch performances were created to help explore a long-lists of short plays selected for the festival which will then be shortlisted to be performed fully in the April Showers season.


Passion in Practice	Dan continues to collaboarate with Actor & Producer Ben Crystal on their fresh approaches to Shakespeare project, Passion in Practice. In the future this will lead to a production of one or two Shakespeare plays to tour North Wales and England.


Shakespeare in Styria	Dan worked for the Shakespeare in Styria festival from 2006 to summer 2010. He was variously the Director, Movement Director and Artistic Director of the festival. He directed productions of Romeo & Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth and King Lear and was movement director on their production of The Tempest.


New Writing	Dan is in the first stages of exploring new project ideas with playwrights including Ben Polya and Aelish Michael.


Vienna's English Theatre	As Visiting Director with Vienna's English Theatre Dan directed a touring version of Macbeth for Winter 2009 / 2010. Dan has also written for the V.E.T., including a re-imagined version of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.


The Lipsinkers	Dan regularly acts as DJ and lighting board operator, as well as occasionally directing, for the Lipsinkers, East London's foremost cabaret stars.
