Key Stage 3 Lower Secondary School Workshop

Abercorn School - Workshop July 2011

Using the props and costumes from our productions we will take the children into the world of the play.

The children will get to create their own Shakespeare character; be a guest at the Capulet's ball, or a fairy in Titania's forest.

Using games, character workshops and physical mapping we will explore the plot and relationships in the play.

With our support the children will explore the language of key scenes and speeches, bringing clarity and understanding to Shakespeare's words and images by directly experiencing them.

If there are specific themes and scenes which are of interest for you and your pupils we can adjust the workshop to match those needs.
