OVERVIEW

Sophie started singing whilst studying Philosophy at the University
of Kent. She began her studies with Lydia Flett, then with the late
Johanna Peters, and is now with Howard Milner.
Sophie worked with Jonathan Dove and Mary King on a devised
opera based on Little Red Riding Hood for ENO Baylis. In opera
roles include Maestra del Novice in Puccini Suor Angelica,
Maddelena in Verdi Rigoletto, Mrs. Trapes in Britten’s The Beggar’s
Opera and Nancy in Albert Herring. In concert, Elgar Sea Pictures,
Mozart’s Vesperae solennelle des confessore, Bach’s Magnificat,
Handel’s Messiah, Orff’s Carmina Burana.
